She was so pleasant and patient and she understood exactly the issues my dog has been having for a year and a half. We just moved to this state so it was nice to find somebody close to home, but that was a good doctor that took the time. They were very nice to JJ.

Betty was surrendered to the Washington Humane Society when she ate rat poison and her owners could not afford the treatment that she needed. The shelter was going to have to euthanize her, when Dr. Kirsch, working for Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC at the time, paid for the treatment herself. After receiving intense treatment, Dr. Kirsch took Betty home with her to recuperate. When Betty was much better, I took her in as a foster dog. I knew the same day I brought her home that I wasn't going to be able to give her up. I can't imagine not having her around. She means everything to my husband and to me, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have her in my life. Thank you, Dr. Kirsch!
